Invodo in NRF Blog, ReelSEO and Digiday

Invodo CEO Craig Wax has been busy the past couple of weeks, so here’s a quick post to highlight some recent coverage.

Last week Craig spoke, alongside Golfsmith’s Eric Mahlstadt, at the National Retail Federation’s BIG Show. Craig discussed how consumers are rapidly coming to expect video on every product page as consumption of video increases exponentially (to 90% of Internet traffic by 2013). Eric’s first-hand experience from Golfsmith made the benefits clear, from increased conversion to improved SEO and enhanced customer experience. NRF Vice President Joan Broughton covered the session in detail here on the NRF blog.

The session covered a great deal of ground, but the conversations Craig and Eric had with retailers brought even more insights – specifically into why video is a top priority for retailers and how they plan to incorporate it with other trends such as social and mobile. Craig captured the common themes from those conversations in a post on retailer priorities for ReelSEO.

And there’s been more news beyond NRF. Craig took time to write an article for Digiday as well, focusing on how the human element drives eCommerce video results. Automation can simplify many elements of eCommerce video, but automating the people out of the picture may not be a good idea. Here’s why.
