Invodo crushes dodgeball tournament

Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn have nothing on the Invodo dodgeball team aptly named the Invodo Komodos.  Currently attending the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market Show in Salt Lake City, Invodo set out to accomplish two main goals:

  1. Capture awesome product videos from brands such as Sperry, Crumpler, and Saucony.
  2. Participate, or should I say dominate, the OR Dodgeball Championship.

Back in Austin we couldn’t be prouder.  Not only does Invodo continue to expand our massive video library, but we have now cemented our position as athletic video syndicators!  Check out the content we captured at Outdoor Retailer here and make sure to get the videos onto your retail sites before the holiday shopping season starts.

Visit www.invodo.com to see how Invodo can transform your browsers into buyers.

Those who expect to reap the blessings  of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it.

Invodo Videos Shine Spotlight on Outdoor Industry Products

Video Service Helps Retailers Improve Sales Conversion Rates
July 15, 2009

Invodo, a leader in online product video syndication, announced today it will return for a second year to capture new product video demonstrations from leading manufacturers at this summer’s Outdoor Retailer in Salt Lake City (July 21-24).
As a partner to the outdoor industry, Invodo offers manufacturers and retailers a free service for syndicating product videos online. With major brands using their service – like Kelty, Thule, Saucony, Smith, Mountain Hardware, Rossignol, Woolrich, Suunto and Five Ten – companies proved they were more than comfortable using video to speak to outdoor enthusiasts about new products.

“Having the opportunity to speak to, and show our products to potential customers through the professionally filmed and edited content gives us a competitive advantage,” said Kevin Newell, assistant global sales manager at Five Ten. “We have enhanced our web presence on our company site as well as for our dealers. Working with Invodo has effectively allowed Five Ten products to have a distinct advantage with how we represent our brand and our products within the marketplace.”

Recent studies have proven that supporting products with online video can increase sales conversions between 30-40%. Even for retailers not selling online yet, 60% of shoppers are still using the Internet to research products before purchasing at a store.

“The outdoor industry has proven to be very effective at using video to highlight their products,” said Craig Wax, Invodo CEO. “Now we are working with retailers to syndicate our rich video library and increase their online sales.”

With the largest product video library in the world, Invodo has established itself as a leader in the ecommerce video space. The company has expanded its video content library to over 20,000 product videos from more than 1,900 manufacturers and plans for future growth to come through reporting features and valuable new features like embedded video players. “In light of the recent business climate, manufacturers and retailers are looking to increase sales now more than ever.” Wax stated. “And Invodo’s service is perfectly positioned to help them do just that.”

eBags.com experiences benefits of video

ebagsSince 2007, eBags.com has been internally producing and posting video content to their eCommerce website with some amazing results.  With around 1,700 unique visitor video views per day, 114,000 unique visitors to their video center since July 2008, and almost 19,000 unique views on eBags.com’s YouTube channel, they have reached a large number of consumers through video.

The most compelling statistic is over a 15% increase in conversion rates after a consumer watches video on a product description page containing an embedded video player.  This translates to one thing…. money in the bank.

Through video, eBags.com has been able to leverage rich media content to increase their sales and overall customer satisfaction. “Video delivers a fantastic lift and is the future of retail,” said Peter Cobb, SVP of Marketing at eBags.

Invodo shares the same viewpoint as Cobb.  Possessing the world’s largest product video library and utlizing our video syndication platform, Invodo offers video to retailers at no cost.  In addition, Invodo offers retailers upgraded services such as embedded and customizable video players that serve to further increase sales.

Invodo Secures Series B Funding

Extending video products for online retailers
July 8, 2009

Invodo®, the de facto hub for product videos, recently closed $6 million in Series B funding from Sevin Rosen and S3 Ventures.

With the largest product video library in the world, Invodo has established itself as a leader in the ecommerce video space.  The company has expanded its video content library to over 20,000 product videos from more than 1,900 manufacturers and now syndicates product videos to over 850 ecommerce sites.

“This recent round of funding enables us to further expand our video library content , secure our leadership position in video syndication to online retailers and manufacturers, and deliver valuable new features like embedded video players,” states Craig Wax, Invodo CEO. “In light of the recent business climate, we’re very proud to have continually built additional value in our company … it’s a testament to our employees, customers and stakeholders.”

The Series B funding was raised to expand market presence, enhance the delivery platform and to accelerate sales and marketing activities. The deal was led by Jackie Kimzey, General Partner with Sevin Rosen, and Brian R. Smith, Managing Director of S3, both of whom are enthusiastic about Invodo’s prospects.  “It’s been very promising for Invodo to establish itself as an early leader in this tough market. The additional funding comes with considerable confidence that the company will continue to scale its customer base and expand its value proposition within the online economy,” states Kimzey.
