Yamaha Hex Rack Mounting System: Hi, I’m Jim Taylor, product manager for Yamaha Drums. I’m going to talk about our Hex Rack Drum Mounting System. Several unique features about this system. The tubing is hexagonal shaped, so it’s very solid, very stiff, so it’s a nice rigid mounting system. All the drum clamps and accessory clamps mount on a ball, so you have all your angle adjustment right here in the ball. So you can put the clamps anywhere you want them. The clamp and the ball are hinged, so you can simply pull it off, move it to another part of the rack, and do anything with it that you want. We have a whole series of different kinds of clamps with different angle adjustability and stuff, and the tubing is available in different lengths. So you can pretty much build a rack system to do anything you want. You can turn this into a double bass system, you can bring these tubes up and over the top, bring cymbals in at an angle; you can hang your drums from any angle that you want to. Also, it’s very camera phone friendly, so when you’re playing on stage, the matte finish doesn’t show fingerprints like a shiny chrome would. Comes with the Yamaha logo at a bullet level on here, so when you set your rig up on stage, if the stage is out a little bit, you can adjust these so your kit is always the same level playing that you’re used to, so you’re very comfortable moving from gig to gig. I’m Jim with Yamaha; this is the Hex Rack system.
