Yamaha APX 900 Guitar: Hi, this is Armando Vega with Yamaha Guitars, and I want to introduce you to the APX 900, in Ultramarine Blue. This guitar offers a solid Sitka spruce top, flamed maple back and sides, and the coolest thing about this guitar is that it features a 3-way A.R.T. system. A.R.T. stands for Acoustic Resonance Transducer. This is a transducer based pickup system, that features four multi-layered wafers (that are contact pickups) that are strategically placed throughout the top of the body, to capture the natural sounds of an acoustic guitar. This system is the most natural sounding system that I've ever heard, and it's extremely easy to control: you have the main volume (which controls the two pickup transducers), the bass volume (that controls the bass pickup), and a treble volume (that controls the treble pickup), leaving the 3-band EQ almost flat, until you absolutely need it, with a built-in tuner. This is the APX 900 in Ultramarine Blue, available in five luscious colors.
Yamaha Guitars Company Overview
Yamaha Guitars Company Overview: Hello, I'm Dennis Webster, Marketing Manager for Yamaha Guitars. This is an exciting year for Yamaha Guitars; 2009 is the 40th anniversary of distribution of guitars in the United States. Yamaha has been producing their own guitars for well over 40 years, but have only been in the U.S. since 1969 -- and what an amazing year: man on the moon, Woodstock, and Yamaha guitars. And really, that's where it all started -- at Woodstock, with Country Joe on stage with one of the first FGs imported from Japan. To this day Yamaha makes the FG, and many other acoustic, acoustic-electric, electric, and bass guitars. Yamaha owns, and operates their own factories, so we are in control of all of our quality. Yamaha is happy to be in the U.S. for 40 years, and we look forward to many more years in the United States. Thank you very much.
