Giant Transend Series – About: Hi, I'm Patrick Van Horn, Giant's corporate communications manager, and I want to introduce to you Giant's Transend Series of bicycles. The Transend Series feature everything the savvy commuter wants to get to work and also have some fun. All four Transcend models have lightweight aluminum frames, comfort saddles and fast-rolling 700c wheels. Three of the models have rear-racks and fenders. The two bikes at the top of the series have disc brakes. This is the Transcend EX. It features the Shimano Alfine 8-speed internal drive-train, Ken DeQuest Tires with slime-filled inner-tubes – a key feaure to keep you rolling.
