Titleist Pinnacle 909 Metal Woods

Titleist Pinnacle 909 Metal Woods: Hi everybody, I’m Steve Pelisek with Titleist. I’m excited to tell you all about the new 909 Metal Wood line that we have for 2009. Starts with the three 909 drivers—the D Comp, the D2, and the D3. What you need to know is each has a distinct launch window. You got D Comp as the highest, D2’s in the middle, D3’s in the lowest. D3’s kind of a low launch, low spin driver, D Comp’s a high launch but a mid-spin driver, and D2’s right in the middle. If you’re a tour player, high speed player, D3’s perfect for you. If you’re looking to get a little more launch angle without too much spin, D Comp is perfect for you. D2’s right in the middle. Now, interestingly, this is the first time in 2009 that Titleist is actually offering a complete line of matching metals that includes drivers, fairways, and hybrids all under one umbrella. Now the fairway woods are the 909 Fairways. There’s an F2 and an F3. Let me tell you briefly about each of those. Pretty simple, F2 matches D2. It’s kind of the one in the middle in terms of the trajectory. F3 kind of matches D3. It’s the lower launching of the fairway metals. It’s easy to tell because the F2’s are at 15 ½ , 18 ½, they’re at the half degrees and the F3’s are at the whole degrees. So F2 a little higher launching, F3 a little lower launching. Try them. You’ll love them. Now for hybrids, this is also very cool. We’ve got a complete flow set of hybrids this year. The best line we’ve ever made. Lofts very broad range. They range from 15 to 24 degrees. Now think about it, a 15 degree hybrid, that’s a low loft. It’s really the same loft as maybe a 3 wood. What we’ve tried to do is put a set together that really flows from lowest to highest. You’ll find that the lower lofts look a little wider front to back. They play a little bit like fairway woods. The higher lofted they’re not quite as deep front to back. They play a little bit more like irons because that’s basically the clubs that they’re replacing. So we hope you get a chance to try all of them. See your golf professional or your shop owner. Make sure you get sure fit to your driver. Pick the right hybrid and fairway for you and play your best golf. Thank you.
