Volkl TigerShark 10ft Ski

10ft - About: The TigerShark 10ft has a 73mm wedge. So it gives you a nice stable platform to stand on, yet it has a really sharp sidecut going from the front to the back. What that sidecut does best is pull you into the turn for a nice clean carve, and it’s really fun to ski on the front side of the mountain. The 10 footer features are extended double grip construction. What that consists of is more material stacked just above the edge where it can support the edge and give you better edge grip. In the middle of the ski, there’s less material, and that allows the ski to be very flexible, so that extended double grip construction gives you an incredible combination of easy handling and exceptional edge grip.

Volkl TigerShark 10ft Ski Features

10ft - Extra Features: The 10 footer also has Völkl and Marker’s Motion IPT system. And that system has been developed to make the ski and binding work in perfect harmony. With all of our motion systems you get a more consistent even ski flex, and that’s also the case on the 10 footer. What you’ll notice with the Motion IPT system is the top end Marker components that come with both the toe and the heel, and that’s something you can rely on with Marker being the top binding supplier in the U.S. market. For the advanced to expert skier who wants to ski the whole mountain, but really excel when the snow is hard and groomed, the 10 footer is a great choice.

Volkl How to Size Your Skis

10ft - Sizing your skis: So how do you tell what size to get with your new skis. Völkl takes a very simple approach and we call it “use your head”. It’s as simple as this. If you were an expert skier, you’d want the ski to be at about your head height. If you’re an intermediate to advanced skier you’d want to be about nose height, and then if I were a novice or beginner skier, I would put it right at my chin height. So that’s an easy way to figure out just the ball park to make sure you’re getting the right size ski.
