Sony Professional Audio UWP Wireless System

Sony Professional Audio UWP Wireless System: Hi, I’m Paul Foschino from Sony Professional Audio. I’d like to talk to you about our new UWP Wireless System. Now our UWP Wireless System actually makes buying a wireless system easy. We give you everything that you need in one box. We’ve taken a lot of the guesswork out of what components you need. All you have to do is say what you want to do with the wireless system and we can find the right package for you. As you can see, we have five different variations on a wireless system. You can get a portable receiver with a body pack, or a portable receiver with a hand held mic if you want to use it with cameras. And this is the perfect combination for any kind of videographer or camera work. We also make one that comes with a plug on transmitter, which will allow you now to do ENG work and convert any hand held microphone into a wireless component. But if you’re looking for a larger system configuration where you want a multi channel wireless system, we also make a very unique piece, which is called the UWP X7 or X8 which has a small, tiny, plug in receiver along with a body pack or a hand held receiver. Let’s take a look at one of those systems. This is a body pack. It has a separate antenna. It comes with a lavaliere microphone and it allows you to select up to 188 channels, so wherever you’re going to be operating the system, you should be able to find a clear channel to operate your system on. Now this being the transmitter will wind up on the user, and they’re going to be set up with a microphone. But that has to transmit a signal back to a receiver. And the system configuration that we have set up here is using our tuner frame. The tuner frame is the MBX 6. The MBX 6 will allow you to plug in six individual receivers. Each receiver represents a channel. Each receiver can receive a signal from a transmitter. Now this makes it very neat and easy to configure. Because you have one rack space only taking up a single rack space, you now have the ability to plug in six channels of wireless into that one space. Now if you have a bigger wireless configuration, you can use two racks and have 12 channels running simultaneously and you can keep adding more tuner racks if you need to grow that multi channel system even bigger. Now the other option you have, other than the body pack transmitter, is a hand held microphone. This is also a transmitter designed to send a signal from here to a receiver. Each of these will send a signal to a receiver on a different channel, and with that, you can set up each one of these with a channel plan, so that you can have each of your wireless microphones sending a signal back to the receiver and operating independently. This also helps to take a lot of the guesswork out of setting up a channel plan for you, so that each microphone will work properly. So when you set up the first one and it scans to look for an open frequency, it will then coordinate a channel plan for you, and set all of the other channels in your system, so you can operate freely and not interfere with each other. So this is the new UWP wireless system from Sony Professional Audio. Thanks for listening.
