Sigma Compact DP2 Digital Camera

Sigma Compact DP2 Digital Camera: Hi, today I'd like to talk to you about the Sigma DP2 Compact Digital Camera. This is Sigma's second model camera and it's unique in the industry in that it features a very large image sensor, much larger than those found typically on a compact digital camera. By way of example, I'd like to show you two image sensors. The sensor on the right is that found in the compact digital cameras offered by Sigma, DP2 and DP1. To the right is the typical image sensor found on an ordinary compact digital camera. The larger sensor allows the Sigma camera to produce better image quality than any other compact digital camera. The camera itself is small enough to fit in your pocket, but it has the features often found on SLR type cameras. So it gives the advantage of SLR image quality and most features without having to carry around a large cumbersome digital camera. The DP2 features a 24.2mm lense which is considered a normal type lense for a compact digital camera. So it's good for candid photography, portraiture and so on. It features a very fast aperture F2.8 and because it's a fixed lense, it has very, very high image quality. The camera has very simple controls. It makes it very easy to operate. It has automatic exposure, automatic focus, but it does give you the creative control of setting the camera manually for both exposure and for focus. It has the live view viewfinder so you can see the images before and after the pictures are taken. And it offers you numerous controls to control the picture quality. The color, the exposure, the sharpness and so on. The lense with its large image sensor and the lense with its large aperture allows for creative control with depth of fields, okay, and the ability to shoot in low light conditions without flash. The flash does however, have a built-in flash and when situations require it, it has a hot shoe which allows you to put on an auxillary flash which would be more powerful and allow you to shoot greater distances with the flash. So if you're interested in the optimum image quality, the highest quality prints possible from your compact digital camera, the DP2 would be the one to consider.
