Rossignol SAS2-140 Binding

Rossignol SAS2-140 Binding: Hi, I'm Kurt from Rossignol. I'm here to tell you about our Alpine bindings. This is the SAS2 140. This is for freeride skiers and jibbers. It has a DIN range of 4 to 14. And the key feature about this binding is the toe piece. The toe piece is reinforced in the coupling area, for extra durability. The release mechanism in the toe allows the wings to actually go out this direction, or fully up and down, which gives you 180 degrees of elastic travel. The AFD is a teflon AFD, which gives you a little extra friction, to basically help you stay in the binding, or it's nice and smooth for your release. The heel track is extra beefy. It's the same heel track that we use in our World Cup binding, so it gives you extra durability. The heel piece is made out of metal, and it has titanium arms going down to the side, for extra durability. And probably one of the key features of this binding is the elastic travel on the heel piece. The elastic travel on the heel piece has 25 millimeters of range. So you can completely almost be coming out of the binding, and recover, and still stay in the system. The brake of the binding comes through with a 100 millimeter width. But it's' interchangeable, so you can actually change it out to an 80 millimeter, or stay with 100 millimeter, or go with an extra wide version, which is 120 millimeter. The SAS2 140 is a great choice for freeride skiers or jibbers.
