Ping Rapture V2 Hybrid: Hi, my name is Brad Schweigart and I’m the manager of the golf club design team for Ping, and I’m here to talk to you about the Rapture V2 Hybrid. Hybrids are a mainstay in the current product line for players of all abilities. They’re much easier to hit than long irons and because of that reason have become the favorite club of players of all skill levels, from the PGA Tour level all the way down to your average golfer. The Rapture V2 Hybrid features a tungsten-weight sole which helps position the center of gravity low and far back in the club head so that it’s very easy to launch up in the air and get maximum height of trajectory, which is what players generally are looking for from their hybrids. It also has features that are designed to maximize the inertia of the club head so that you not only get great performance out of the center hits, but also your mishits as well.
