Pentax Optio Compact Camera – About: Hi, my name is Chris, I'm with Pentax imaging company out of Golden, Colorado, and today I'd like to talk about our Optio line of compact cameras. The first camera I'd like to talk about is our Optio E70 camera, this is a newly released camera, announced earlier this year. This camera is great because it's a 3X zoom camera, 10 megapixels, a 2.4 inch screen, and it's got a couple of technologies inside the camera that might appeal to camera users. For example, it's got a new version of our stabilization technology we call shake reduction, and this particular technology we call pixel track shake reduction. And the way pixel track shake reduction works is that it tracks the amount of blur at the pixel level, and then once the exposure is made, it can bring that level of blur back to the pixel, at which point it gets mapped out. So the advantages are of course, you do not add any high ISO noise to the image to get sharp images in any lighting condition, and you have full resolution images. It just takes a couple of seconds post-processing time after the image, but it's about the same amount of time as you would get with a flash recharge. Some other features that might appeal in this camera are the fact that we've designed it very well ergonomically, our menu system is very easy to navigate, very easy to read. Each of the modes has what we call a guide display that explains the use of that mode. And as you can see the buttons here are a little bit larger, the printing is a little bit larger so it's very easy for someone to use and press the buttons. And even the shutter button is an oversized button, so it's very easy to use this camera. Another feature of this camera is that it has AA batteries. We always try to have a camera in our lineup that uses AA's, because they're very travel friendly. For example, if you use lithium batteries with these cameras, you can get batteries anywhere in the world, and it takes a lot of images on these lithium batteries. So you can travel anywhere, you know you're never going to be without battery power, and you don't have to lug a charger around with you, so this is a very great camera.
