Panasonic FX Camera Series - About
Panasonic FX Camera Series – About: Hi everybody, I'm Matt Frazier, field training manager for Panasonic. Today we're going to be talking about our FX series line of cameras. This series is very similar. They're going to be just about the same feature set with a couple of unique differences. When you look at the FX series, the first thing I want to point out is how slim and compact this body is. It is a very small camera. The FX series will also have a Leica badged, high quality lens that features a 25 millimeter wide angle lens. So, this is the camera you're going to want for Thanksgiving dinner, when you've got everybody around the table. And ordinarily you can't back up far enough to fit everybody in. This camera's going to get them all in the shot with no problem. The FX series will also include a 5 times optical zoom. So, you're going from 25 millimeter out to 125. So, you've got a lot of zoom power in a very compact body. In addition, this camera's going to incorporate our full suite of intelligent auto functions. So, you're going to have face detection. You're going to have our intelligent image stabilization. On top of that, this camera's going to include our now world renowned intelligent auto function, which allows you to automatically select scenes. So, when I take this camera and I point it at a subject for a macro shot, the camera's going to automatically select macro mode for you. So, no more blurry photos on Ebay. When you go ahead and you point this at a subject for a portrait, it'll automatically select portrait. Landscapes will automatically be selected for landscape. On top of that, we're incorporating our auto focus tracking function. So, you can go ahead and point this at any moving subject, lock them in and guarantee they will stay in focus no matter where they move in the frame. This also gives you the ability to have a faster camera. So, this camera will have less shutter lag, because of the auto focus tracking function. Finally, we're incorporating our facial recognition software. This is a unique software to Panasonic. With this camera, I can program in up to six people's faces. And it will recognize those people whenever they're in the frame. What it's going to do is it's going to put their name up on the screen. And guarantee that that individual is the only individual that has priority. So, they will have the best exposure and the best focus. A great example for this, you got 25 kids singing in a recital. You don't care about your neighbor's kid. You want your kid to be in perfect focus. This guarantees they're in perfect focus. On top of that, when I connect this to my computer and I extract the photos into the computer, all of that data comes across with the camera in our editing software. When it comes into the computer, it automatically then groups everybody by their name. And I can then search the computer's hard drive for any pictures I've ever taken on any camera, as long as it's a jpeg. So, now I can easily sort out all of the pictures of my kids, and have them grouped easily for me to find. Plus, with that software I can add another 4 more faces for a total of 10 faces. So, it really provides you with a very powerful searching tool.
