Olympus E620 Camera

Olympus E620 Digital Camera

Hi, my name is Scott Kenny. I'm here to talk to you today about the E620 from Olympus. First of all, the big thing about this E-620 is it can be placed right between the Olympus E520 and the Olympus E30 cameras. The E620 has a lot of great features, such as live view with full articulating screen. Gives the photographers lots of options, as far as when they're shooting. This camera is very small and very light. The battery that it uses is the same as an E420 or an E410 camera.

Now, back to this camera as far as the articulating screen goes this camera has lots of art filters. So, when we click on the mode dial to our art filters, we'll see that right on the side here we have six to choose from. First one here is pop art, soft focus, pale light color, light tone, grainy film and finally pin hole. Now when you simply select these and when we're in live view, it allows us to see these filters automatically. Some great tips

about shooting with the filters are, if you set up your camera to be in raw, it'll allow you to have two images. Your filtered file's going to be a jpeg shot. It's going to have that look and feel that you selected before that you do see in live view. Plus, it's going to give you a raw file. And it'll give you the options of choosing either one, when you're into your computer. Great feature of that here is everything's done in camera. Nothing as far as post-production, when you decide to go into the filters.

The Olympus E-620 camera also has double exposures. So, you choose to shoot two images on the exact same frame. One cool thing is when you're shooting in live view and you take the first shot, it will give a ghost like image. So, it's easy to correct as far as where you want to place that second image. When I close this camera, you can see as far as how small and how light this camera really is for the user. It comes with a 14 to 42 lens that's melted onto it right here, which is a nice wide angle. So, a slight telephoto. As far as for the photographers who like to shoot in the view finder, we flip back right into the view finder up top here. And when looking through that we notice that 7 point auto focus. Very, very fast and very responsive. The frame per second count on this camera is four. So, it's really based for the creative user with all the art filters and multiple exposure, as well as a very fast camera shooting stuff something such as sports photography. So, it's an all-in-one camera and that's the latest from Olympus. Thank you.
