About Northwave Drake Super Sport Binding

About Northwave Drake Super Sport Binding: So for 2009 and 2010, the Super Sport gets revamped with some new colors, some new technology. The Super Sport uses a 3D molded ankle strap, which is precurved both directions. It’s going to give you a perfect transaction with your Northwave boots. It uses a full leather toecap with some Cordura built in to prevent any sort of wear damage. On the inside you’re getting quick adjust straps. On the footprint you have an adjustable toe ramp. The disk has foam filled right on top, so the disk cover is pulled out for weight issues to save weight and just add some foam on top of the disk. You’re also getting two pieces of gel, two gel pockets in the heel. So from Northwave we’ve developed the Omnichrome system, which is basically an aluminum subframe for the entire binding. When you lean on your highback, it’s going to effectively pull up the toe part of the binding, making the binding more responsive and making it better work with the board toe and heel. As far as the highback goes on the Super Sport, you’re getting a quick adjust highback adjuster and a good, soft, all-mountain freestyle highback with soft sides. It’s very stiff in response when you lean against it. Currently, you’re looking at the mix match pair, which is a limited edition pair. The right binding is purple with yellow straps. The left binding is yellow with purple straps. This is the Super Sport, available in three colors.
