Neotech Straps

Neotech Straps: I’m Terry Jackson with Neotech. Again, we manufacture a lot of different straps. This one happens to be one for percussion, works well for drum bass. The biggest benefit of ours is they’re designed basically to conform to you rather than you conform to the strap. They all give in a slight amount so that they actually can take the shock out of movement, but the biggest thing also is they conform to you so that they distribute the load over a much larger area. This one is the yoke style strap. It goes around both shoulders so it doesn’t put any pressure on the neck whatsoever. Then we also do a number of different straps for guitars as well. This one’s called our Jammin’ Strap. The biggest benefit of the Jammin’ Strap is it doesn’t rebound like a lot of neoprenes with elastic in them. This one’s designed to work as a dampening effect, so again, it conforms to you rather than you conform to it. Again, we’ve come out with a number of different termination ends. This one’s your standard leather end for connecting to any type of guitar. And we do a number of them; the super, which comes either in a bass version, a guitar version, or also comes in a banjo version. This one’s designed where it’s again a pad that gives enough, just for the different weight ranges. We use a patented control stretch system that allows it to give under different weight limits. These are designed basically around the different types of instruments that they are built for, such as a heavy banjo, so it’s stiff enough that it just gives to conform to you. Then when we get into the larger ones, such as you’re getting into a large Les Paul, a very large bass, the larger strap again is a little stiffer, so it’s meant for a much heavier weight application. In doing so, then we allow again where it does not bounce on a person when they’re using it even actively. It basically just controls the stretch on their frame so that, again, it conforms to them and gives a lot more comfortable fit. Then we have even our basic ones in which we do a junior style for young kids so that they can have a shorter strap but still have something that gives a little bit and gives them more comfort, as well as very small ones. Again, this one would stretch more because it’s meant for a lighter instrument such as a mandolin. Again, giving connection points with quick releases to where you can even use this on a neck style. This shows the variations of some of the connection systems we do. Your standards; this one here is our Slimlock system, which actually is a locking system which you can physically very quickly put onto any post, located in place underneath the head, and now it’s locked into place where it’s not coming off. This one’s actually for an end pin jack version in which it actually locks underneath the cap of the end pin. So now, again, most straps do not lock well onto end pin versions, so this one locks it into place. Here you can see on this actual guitar of how this one rotates around. Again, no worries of how it’s hooked on that it’s ever going to come off unless you want it to come off, and a very clean application. The other one, which is a new version for us, is a quick release in which you can physically remove the strap completely from the guitar, leaving this pliable flexible piece on there to where it’s not going to come off but yet you can change out straps and switch whenever you want. Here we have basically some of the straps that we make for our acoustic side, more for the classicals that hook into the sound hole. So, you have both the harness system and a yoke. This one’s a neck strap, and then this one is a Bandalero style. When we get to this style, we’re not using the neoprene any more. We’re still using something for comfort, but it uses the memory foam. The nice thing on the memory foam is again no pressure points. The material actually conforms around your body and around all of the seams and stuff on you clothing, so again, it’s a very comfortable strap, but yet very slim and very versatile so where you’re not having any pressure. This one, again, uses a sound hole type hook to where you can physically wear it around your body and then comfortably hold the guitar. Again, with our neoprene line, the main concept is that they’re designed to give enough that they actually conform to you and actually take the shock out in any movements that you’re making while you’re actually playing. Neotech - Meet Terry

Neotech - Meet Terry: I’m Terry Jackson, President of Neotech. We manufacture a lot of different items. We’ve been around since 1988, basically making straps for everything from guitars, saxophones, and accordions. The main area of our products are designed for functionality more than fashion. They’re designed basically to make more comfortable, make it easier for people to use them in the field, and just all around helping people to get rid of discomfort from playing to where basically they can concentrate more on playing and worry less about the discomfort of a strap or something heavy hanging around their neck or across their body.
