Michelin Importance Of Tire Pressure Explained

Michelin Importance Of Tire Pressure Explained: Hi I’m Monica with Michelin North America sales and marketing manager for our bicycle product line. I want to talk to you about briefly about tire pressure and the importance of it in the Michelin road tires. This is specifically in Michelin product line so keep in mind that you’ll have to refer to your manufacture for the proper pressure. On Michelin products when you purchase it on the back of the packaging we have the tire pressure available to you. It goes by rider weight and then below you’ll see the pressure you need to be at, the PSI or bars either way. Its important for road tires that you have the proper pressure because the tire is designed to have a certain about of deflection and if the tire doesn’t absorb the objects in the road your actually increasing or decreasing your rolling existence. If you go to high in your tire pressure you’ll actually be bouncing on the surface of the road and all that momentum that your putting in the pedals and pushing yourself forward is know being used to keep you on the road instead of moving forward. In addition if your too low in your tire pressure your absorbing way to much and your going to be a little sluggish and quite slow. So keep this mind when you purchase a Michelin product take the back of the packaging or take a little look and make sure with your dealer that you check the pressure with your section with. This is very important for you to understand, I hope you ride safe out there and have a good time. I’m Monica with Michelin North America.
