Mapex and Will Calhoun: Good afternoon, my name is Will Calhoun, Mapex endorsee. Played with Living Color, Mos Def, Wayne Shorter, quite a few different artists. One of my reasons for really enjoying the drum set and the company is my varied styles of music and me being able to use basically one drum set to cover different parts of my musical endeavors in life. Recording studio, rock and roll, heavy metal, funk, straight ahead jazz, hip hop, R & B, drum and bass, whatever. The drum set fits. At the moment I'm standing behind on of the newer series, Meridian Birch, and you can go on line at the Mapex website to get all the specs on the drum kit. I basically use a Saturn series for my touring and recording, and it works for all purposes. It's a great company. It's very diverse set of snare drums. I recommend you check out the brass, the wood, Maple, Birch, the different sized meter hoops, the weight. It's fantastic.
