We introduced the Mantra almost six years ago and it's become one of the top selling all mountain skis in the market. With a 96 millimeter waist you have tremendous float in softer snow. But we also use a construction that's similar almost to a GS racing ski, and that gives you tremendous edge grip when you go ski it on harder snow.

Mantra - Extra Features: There's a full wood core epoxy construction in the Mantra so it's very durable, very resilient, and two sheets of metal, one on the top, one on the bottom. You can actually see the sheets of metal here on the top through the top sheet and then if you flip it over you can see the metal going down the base. So an interesting graphic there as well. But if you're an advanced to expert skier and you want to ski soft snow, but you still want a ski that you can take on the groomed snow, this is the most versatile, wide powder ski that you can possibly find.

Mantra - Freeskiing Series: Volkl was one of the first companies to introduce a junior freeskiing ski for the big mountain called the Junior Mantra. The Junior Mantra is 80 millimeters wide in the waist. That’s a pretty wide ski for a junior ski. Just like the Adult Mantra, it’s designed for big mountain skiing, so deeper snow and more powdery terrain. The Junior Mantra comes in sizes of 118, 128, 138, and 148, so you have the full progression of sizes for a youngster who wants to improve his skiing in the softer snow. The Junior Mantra is not just a scaled down kid’s ski. You can see it has a full vertical sidewall. It has a full wood core. It’s really a top end construction for that younger skier. You can see that in the shape of the nose and tail that you can ride the Junior Mantra switch if you’re learning to ride it in the pipe and park. But the main feature is that wider width, so you can actually take this ski on the big mountain as a younger skier and have more fun on the powder than you could with any other junior ski.
