Giant Maestro Suspension Technology - About
Giant Maestro Suspension Technology – About: Hi I’m Andrew Juskitis, global product marketing manager here at Giant. I’m here today to explain Maestro Suspension Technology. Maestro Suspension Technology was introduced into the product market in 2005. Here in 2009 we continue with the tradition of high performance suspension activity. Let me break it down for you in it’s simplest form. Maestro Suspension Technology uses the 4-2-1 principle. Let me explain what that means. These four pivot points, one two, three, and four, in addition to these two rockers, the upper rocker and the lower rocker, create a single, floating pivot point. That single floating pivot point occurs about half way in between the large chain ring and the middle chain ring. It’s about the size of a silver dollar. As long as your chain is sitting in that floating pivot point, pedaling activity is incredibly neutral. So what does that mean? It means that your suspension is going to be incredibly active, it’s going to be independent from breaking forces, and it’s also going to be extremely efficient. Three things that every mountain biker needs when they’re out on the trail. Maestro achieves all three of those qualities using state-of-the-art technology and state-of-the-art engineering. That’s the background behind Maestro Suspension Technology.
