Ludwig Gold Triumphal

Ludwig Gold Triumphal: This is kind of the Holy Grail of our collection. This is part of a collection called Snare Drums of a Century. There are five different models that range from a 100th Anniversary hand engraved Black Beauty snare drum to two different Supraphonics that are made of titanium in honor of our late company chairman the Chief, William F Ludwig Jr. This is the crown jewel of the entire collection. This is the what's called the Gold Triumphal. Each of these is hand made in the Italian Alps by a goldsmith by the name of Adrian Kirchler. We met with him last year at the Frankfurt show, and he showed us this drum and we were so jaw-droppingly floored by the quality of this drum we had to introduce it as a piece of out history. The Triumphal's actually originate in the 20's. This is a reissue of the 1928 model. Each one is gold plated 24 carat. It's a spun brass shell. Every single element is hand made by Adrian and then hand engraved by him as well. You can see some of the original patterns, I mean everything that he put into this drum is completely and totally true to the original. One of the things that we're doing , we're only making a hundred of them this year, there very limited in quantity and production. And what we've done to make each one unique is, each one is engraved with a year in the history of the company. This one is number one, or 1909. And then after that, everything is engraved with the original, what we call flower engraving pattern, the Ludwig 100th Anniversary. Even the hoops are engraved. This is an unbelievable drum, it's not something that everyone's gonna own because it is, as you can guess, monumentally expensive. But it is something that really is the crown jewel of a hundred years of manufacturing and quality. And we're overjoyed that we're going to be able to offer that for the next year.
