The House LibTech Banana Board - About

The House LibTech Banana Board – About: It’s David McCall from Sales here at the House. I’m going to describe the Skate Banana from Lib Tech. It’s definitely a pretty different board from most of the stuff we’ve got on the shelves. A couple of technologies that make it different are: magnetraction first of all is a gently wobbling of the sidecut. It hooks up really good in icy hard pack terrain. It gives you seven points of contact rather than the traditional one at the front and one at the back. It has a really nice centered base, die cut graphic, same Ptech they use on the base is on the sidewalls. It’s twin tipped, but it really can go anywhere on the mountain you can go. Jump in the trees with it and the banana really takes care of you there. You can ride on an icy half pipe in a park and the magnetraction holding a good edge. If you ride a lot of rails, you can actually detune the edge pretty aggressively and still have it hook up because of the way the manufacturing works. The second thing that’s kind of neat to it is the rocker pattern. You’ll see some other boards this year doing it this year. Lib puts all of theirs between the two bindings so when you stand on it it pushes the board flat. It’s pretty mellow but it really does make a big difference in the ride. You can see when I stand on here the tail is going to kick up and when I step on that, it makes it completely flat so you’ve got full contact. All the rocker, like I said, is in between the bindings so as I step off that you can see it raises up. It’s a very mild difference in the board, but it definitely makes it ride completely different from the any other board I’ve ever ridden.
