La Sportiva Mythos: Hi, I'm John. I'm with La Sportiva, here gonna show you how to lace a Mythos. The Mythos is a rock shoes that's been in our line for probably the longest out of all our other shoes. And the reason why it's been in our line for so long is because it excels at crack climbing. It's a very comfortable shoe. It has a unlined leather upper, stretches quite a bit, which forms to your foot. A sticky rubber rand that goes around the whole shoe. A great crack climbing all around shoe. It's got a unique lacing system, which really allows to customize the fit for the shoe.

La Sportiva Lacing Instructions: Hi, I'm John with La Sportiva. This is the Mythos rock shoe. I'm gonna show you how to lace this shoe. It's a little different from our other shoes. It got a flat gilly lacing system. The laces actually wrap around the heel, which enables for you to really customize the fit of the shoe. You start at the heel, and you wrap the laces through these flat eyelets. And you go all the way through down to the toe area. So I'll actually just work this lace through so you can see. What comes in handy is a little paper clip. It'll kind of help you work. You can catch it on the little aglet, which is that little front plastic piece. And you kind of just work that down, and the lace comes out like this. Again, so your center points in the heel, and it's important to really make sure that you have your center here. And you wanna kind of take up all the slack, because when you come back through and lace it up, what you do is you lace, and you can really cinch down the laces for that custom fit. So you just kind of start at the toe eyelets. And again, you kind of want to cinch it down. And then you just start weaving this lace up through the actual lace that came down through this little gilly system. And again, a little paper clip to kind of just hook the laces, it does help. It does take some time, but it is worth it. Almost done here. Okay. And so your last ones go through the metal eyelets at the top. So really, once you put it on your shoe, to get that custom fit, to really cinch down the heel, is you'll do another loop. And you'll actually go through the lace that you started on to bring down the gilly though the gilly system. So your last little lace, what it does is pulls your starting point together, which cinches down the heel. So you really get a really snug fit around the heel, and it just really allows a custom fit.
