About LP Brazilian Product Line: I'm Ray Enhoffer the director of R & D for Latin percussion. Last year we introduced our first parts of the Brazilian Percussion line with our Surdo, Repenique and Caixa. This year we've added a Pondeiro and ?[Pomberim] to our product line. Both of these instruments are used quite frequently with the Brazilian Samba music for those of you who are familiar with it. To design these products we brought in a bunch of Brazilian percussion specialists from around the country, went over various different products like went over said found out what they liked, what they didn't like, what they would like to see changed and what they thought we should keep. And taking all these ideas that they brought us, we came up with our own Brazilian percussion line. Part of that is we also designed a Tamborim beater for playing on the Tambourine. And another item which sort of fits in to the Brazilian line is we came up with a micro snare. It's somewhat of a cross between a Tamborim and a snare and a regular snare drum. It almost has the sound of a Scottish snare drum. You can mount it next to your snare drum on your drum kit for a snare accent sound. It has a quick snare release on the side to turn it from a ?[timballi] type sound to a snare sound. We've had this product out the PAS show this past November in Austin, Texas and we had people coming up to us saying, 'What is that thing? I hear it above all the rest of the noise in the convention center.' And if we had about 50 of them there at the show we would have sold every single one of them.
