About LP 45th Anniversary Product Line Theme: This is our 45th anniversary as a company and this year we decided to come up with products designed specifically to celebrate our time in our company's history. First of all we have our 45th anniversary congas. It features our 45th anniversary logo which is inlaid in the wood itself, which is something that no one else has done. It's an LP innovation. The drums feature the blue color which is a sapphire color signifying the 45th anniversary. We also have bongos, same theme, same logo. We have our Mambo Cowbell. Now if you know anything about Mambo Cowbells, you'll see them on every drum kit, in every salsa band, and also it's an LP Cowbell that's used on the Saturday Night Live skit “More Cowbell” with Christopher Walken and Will Ferrell. That's an LP bell which has become a cult classic with the kids. Another early innovation of LP's was our Afuche Cabasa. To celebrate that we have our 45th anniversary cabasa in the same color as the other products with our 45th logo.
About LP
About LP Ray Enhoffer: My name is Ray Enhoffer, I'm the director for R and D for Latin Percussion. This is Latin Percussion's 45th anniversary, as a company. Latin Percussion basically invented, in many ways, the modern day percussion market. Taking instruments that were no longer available or hard to get out of Cuba and South America, into the United States and into mainstream of American music. The company, as I said, has been in business for 45 years. We are known for our innovation, the quality of our product line and the vast array of artists who use LP. We're considered a first call brand, most any time you hear and see music being played anywhere around the world you'll usually spot an LP product within the musical group. Our product line is very vast, it consists of all the major Latin music staples: bongos, congas, timbales, as well as many different sound effects that you hear, anything from in music and also to commercials.
LP - Message from the Founder
LP - Message from the Founder Ray Enhoffer: I'm Ray Enhoffer, the director for R and D for Latin Percussion. Along side me is Mr. Martin Cohen, whose the founder of LP and created all of our company right from the start. Martin has been a very integral part in what has happened in the world of Latin Percussion and has basically dedicated his whole life to the music. Martin Cohen: That's right and it still remains a part of my life and I am really grateful to be here and celebrate at the NAMM show, the 45th anniversary of LP. Which couldn't have been possible without a team of devoted people, devoted to the traditions of attention to the detail, quality percussions and listening to what the percussionist of the world want. And apparently we've been delivering it because for 45 years we have been the mainstay of the icon of the industry.
