About Deuter Kid Comfort III

About Deuter Kid Comfort III: This is the Deuter Kid Comfort III. This is our most feature-laden Child carrier, coming in at 6 lbs. 13 oz. Here you'll see, again using our backpack technology, for our back system. The same back system you'll see on some of our larger trekking packs. We have an adjustable harness system in here. Nice and simple and easy-to-use, just adjust this up-and-down, through four these rungs and you can dial that in to fit a number of different torso lengths. Waist belt on this, will be our VeriFlex pivoting waist belt, so this will have some pivot to it when you get this locked down on your waist. The waist belt is going to stay locked to you and the pack body is able to move with you as you hike around. We have a pull-forward waist adjustment. Real easy once you get that on your waist, you just snug those forward. Real simple and easy to adjust. Nice pocket on the waist belt here. On the other side, we have another little pocket, which has a little mirror hidden in it, so you can pick this up and look at the child behind you, see what they're doing in there.

Deuter Kid Comfort III Body Features

Deuter Kid Comfort III Body Features: For the pack body itself, where the child is going to sit, we have a side release buckle in here. We have an adjustable harness system for the child. Just undo the Velcro here. You can slide this up and down, real simple and easy to use. We have a five-point safety harness right in here. One-hand operation, nice and easy to use. All the buckles are yellow, so easy to find and adjust. A nice sternum strap to keep the shoulder straps up on the child. You can adjust the seat height on here with this buckle right here. Tighten and loosen this. It’s going to be the same thing on the other side, plus you’ve got a nice large buckle right on the inside here to adjust the front height of the seat. Right on the front here we have a removable drool guard. You can hand wash this. It’s simple and easy to use, plus it makes a real nice pillow when the child’s in there. Just lean their head down on that and fall asleep. On the side we have a hydration sleeve. Put a drinking reservoir in there. Always have water with you, plus it keeps the weight of the water right up against your back to make it real comfortable to carry. Kickstand on that, real simple and easy to use. It locks in underneath nice and tight, so it reduces the profile of the Child Care. We have a nice large pocket on the back. Then we have an extra little pocket on the front of that, and then another storage pocket up top here. Then a nice shove-it pocket right in here, a great place to throw a jacket or something. Some mesh pockets on both sides, a great place for sippy cups. Then we have a nice high back on this, what we call our throne back. You can see how much higher this sits than some other child carriers. In here, we have a zipper that runs right around the top. This right here is our sunroof that will pull out. You’ll always have it with you to protect the child’s delicate skin. You take these straps here, clip them down in here, and you’ve got great sun protection for the child.

Deuter Kid Comfort III Safety Testing

Deuter Kid Comfort III Safety Testing: As with all of our Child Cares, we’re working with the TUV Safety Industry. We’ve been working with them to come up with the safety standards for our Child Cares. We’ve had it test the Child Care since 1996, the first brand to come out with the tested Child Care. Those safety standards will not only test the fit on the child and safety of the child in the cockpit but also the fit for the adult here and all the materials that are used in our backpacks, making sure we’re not using any hazardous materials, formaldehyde, or whatever in them. We have to go through those safety tests every two years, plus they visit our factories to make sure that all of our manufacturing is up to their standards.
