Karhu Fast Fulcrum Ride Running Shoe: The first shoe I would like to talk about, utilizes this neutral fulcrum piece in a lightweight fulcrum. It's the Fast Ride, so we're trying to do is with the Fast Ride, is we've engineered the midsoles to be lower to the ground. We've got a 23/10 midsole heights with 2 mm outsoles. It's for the runner who really wants to feel the ground a bit more and have that real fast-pace to their shoe.

Karhu Shoes Overview: So today we're going to talk about Karhu, it's Finland's legendary running brand. It was started in 1916. Karhu means “bear” in Finnish as you can see him wearing it on my shirt right here. The first thing we talk about when we talk about Karhu, is we are a brand that is very focused on creating a natural ride and feel in all of our products. To create that natural ride and feel, we use a fulcrum technology. I'd like to take you through each of the fulcrum pieces. So we have two neutral fulcrums and then we have a stability fulcrum. With the stability fulcrum, what we've done is we've engineered the fulcrum down closer to the ground on the medial side. So for that foot that wants to pronate or roll inward, it will hold it right there and create a bridge, or fulcrum, that get you from heel to toe more efficiently. The reason we do this, is we want to get the foot to track neutrally without putting a big dual density plug on the medial side. We feel it's less efficient and it's more like running up against a brickwall versus tracking neutrally.
