K2 Apache Xplorer Ski: So the Apache Xplorer is our highest end tool for exploring the mountain. It’s a metal laminate cap construction with a 17.0/16.0 progressive side cut. The progressive side cut allows you to initiate easier on this wider-waisted ski, but not hook up in the crud. It allows the tail to release a bit in the crud. The Xplorer features MOD technology, which is secondary elastomeric core for damping. The Mod Monic technology, which is focused mass damping, and the MX binding system, which was designed with Marker for wider contact points, really to get that edge, or to transmit that power onto the edge faster. And this ski rips all around the mountain.
