K2 Apache Recon Ski: So the Apache Recon is our most versatile ski in the Apache line. It’s a 78 waisted ski designed for 50% on pieced/50% off pieced. It has the mod technology which is the secondary elastamare core for dampening, the modmonic which is our focus mass damping, and the MX binding system for a marker which has wider contact points and allows you to really get the ski on edge faster. This is a ripping ski.

K2 Apache Series: Hi I am Matt O’ Locklin K2’s ski design Engineer and I am here to take you through the Apache series. The Apache series is the all mountain series for K2. It is designed specifically for all the variety that the mountain has to offer, that includes cutter, curd and all the way to the Rumus. The apache series, we will talk about a few of the technologies we have got mud technology which is secondary last merit core before damp feet, cod moning technology which is for focus mass dampening. So the annex system that we discussed with marker has wider contact points with the hubs and it will allow you to transmit that power faster to the edge. So you will see these technologies across all the Apache pieces.
