About Jokari Soda Dispenser: My name is Don Saller and I’m with Jokari. I’m here to show you a new product, which we call our soda dispenser. This is the product here, which actually attaches to a two-liter bottle of soda and dispenses the soda. This is a simple product but it’s very unique in the fact that we have spent a lot of time in research, especially with NASA, to determine how to slow the dispensing of soda out of a two-liter bottle. The problem is that if you have a straight straw coming into the bottle, this soda has so much pressure that you can actually shoot it across the room, almost like a seltzer bottle. The challenge here was how to develop a process that actually slows it down. So after reviewing with NASA on how they move rocket fuel through pipes, they’ve actually designed a pipe that has an hourglass look to it. So it just goes in and goes out. By doing so, it actually slows the liquid down. What we’ve done is we’ve developed a straw that is actually designed with that hourglass effect. When you have that hourglass effect, it slows it down to the point where it comes out into the glass in a very slow, deliberate manner and that’s what makes this product so much different than anything else that’s been out there.
