JBL Eon: Hi, my name is Simon Jones. I'm the Director of Marketing for portable PA products for JBL Professional. I'd like to tell you about Eon. Fifteen years ago we launched Eon. It was a product — a portable PA product very powerful. But it was designed and made primarily for musicians and DJs, or anybody who needed a speaker that would reproduce strong powerful accurate sound. Easily portable, easily moved from place to place and set up for many, many different applications. Well, this year we've launched the new generation. The next generation of Eon. Eon 300 series and Eon 500 series. Behind me I have Eon 500 series. We have three models. We have a 15 inch two-way speaker. We have a 10 inch two-way speaker and we have an 18 inch sub that goes with that — 500 watts — very, very powerful. What we did with the next generation of products, we engineered more weight out. So, these are 30 percent lighter than the older products, 50 watts more powerful. And we just demonstrate how easy these are to move around. This is a 450 watt PA line speaker. We've got a built-in mixer on the back. And it's all due to core JVR transducer light speaker technology, and a harvested crown developing amplifier technology. Light weight, high performance, do anything for anybody everywhere. That's the 500 series. But we also recognized that we needed to fulfill and offer a product to the slightly lower price point. So, we have the EL 300 series over here. These are slightly less power at 280 watts. Also, a powered speaker with a built-in amplifier. We also have a **** version of that. So, if you already have a mixer with an amplifier and amplifier solution, you can have all the same design features as the 500 series — the handles, the light weight, affordability and ease of transport of this speaker line. So, there ladies and gentlemen is the EON 300 series and 500 series light speakers from JBL — affordable PA that's portable.
JBL - Company History
JBL – Company History: Hi, I'm Mark Gander, Vice President of Marketing with JBL Professional. JBL's the leading supplier of loudspeakers for professional applications. We make loudspeakers for major tours and special events — like Bruce Springsteen, Rascal Flatts, the opening and closing of the Olympics in Beijing. Many, many types of musical and other types of entertainment events. We do permanent installations. Everything from Chicago Bears' Soldier Field to Yankee Stadium — concert halls and performing arts centers like the Sydney Opera House, Disney Hall in Los Angeles. We make speakers for musicians. And in particular speaker systems that provide flexibility and performance for musician's presentations. We make the leading speakers for cinema applications. We're the leading provider of motion picture theater cinema's loudspeakers, and also for post-production and the creation of the movies in Hollywood. JBL was the first person — James B. Lansing was the founder of our company. And he created the sound for the movies — created the concept of the studio monitor that moved from the movies to recording. And the JBL products come from the history of James B. Lansing. You can see here some of our professional products — the SRX series, premium products for the musician at the high end for the touring market. These use technologies and materials that provide very high performance, high power handling, light weight — advantages that bring the technology to the advantage of the customer. So, we're very pleased that we can use our 60 years of history in creating loudspeakers for the musician market, for the recording market — for all different applications. Applying technology, making our own loudspeaker transducers. And making loudspeaker systems that create solutions for the customer.
