LINE Invader

LINE Invader: The Invader’s great on rails or urban in general. It’s light. It’s quick. It’s nimble. For me, they’re like the ultimate urban ski. Park skiers today aren’t looking for a ski with the recommended mount 5cm back. It’s exactly the same as if you’re skiing forward. You just have that much more control. It doesn’t have the width of the other skis and that’s a plus. You can just get that lock so much quicker so you can get that switch up. You can get that switch up again. You can get that spin out. They’re quicker on rails. They’re quicker on boxes. They’re quicker on bowls. It’s a lighter ski you can throw around faster. It’s pretty easy just to get up in that butter zone. You can definitely feel it. For nose and tail presses, those are getting way more popular. A lot of kids are trying to do them. Once again, the flex just helps get right into that from start to finish right over your tips. Carbon Olliband, for me, just gives that snap you need to get your tip just over the rail so you’re not catching it underneath. You can just go around your mountain without having great jumps or great rails and just butter off things and have a great time. All season I’ve been bomb dropping, sliding kinks, wall rides—I just smash into them and the only thing I’ve even scratched on it is my stickers. It adds to the sport. It adds to the progression of what you can do and what can be done. I’m an East Coast kid. I like to do rails and really it doesn’t get much better than the Invader.
