It’s an alternative to a traditional crib bumper because a lot of moms today are worried about using traditional padded bumpers because of some of the safety issues that major safety organizations are beginning to talk about regarding the big traditional bumper. A lot of organizations are worried about the safety of the suffocation hazard that bumpers present because they have a cushioned surface. If a baby presses against it, it can cause the baby to suffocate because they have pressed their mouth and nose into the soft cushioning and can’t breathe anymore. What Cozy Wedge does is Cozy Wedge is made with firm foam wedges. It is made with swimming noodle foam so that hard foam that kids play with everyday. It’s made in the U.S.A. It’s completely odorless. It’s free of CFC’s. So it’s a completely neutral foam and it’s in an organic cotton slip cover. And the foam wedge gives you a low profile trim around the edge of your crib that helps keep arms and legs inside the crib. It keeps the pacifier from falling out and it does a lot of what we traditionally associate a bumper with doing in the crib but it has some safety benefits. Because it’s very hard and has a firm surface, a baby pressing up against it will still be able to breathe. It’s also very lightweight so if a baby gets underneath it, it lifts right up. So you don’t have a heavy bumper pressing down on baby’s head and perhaps pushing their face into the sheets which is another potential safety hazard. Also because of its low profile, it offers better visibility into the crib. That’s something that a lot of safety experts are talking about. You should be checking on your baby as often as you can. With a big bumper, sometimes you don’t want to walk across the room to look into the crib to see if baby’s doing okay. So this allows you to see what’s going on. And also if you decide to keep the bumper in after baby can stand up, it’s low enough that it doesn’t give your baby a leg up to climb out. So it’s something you can use for the lifetime of your crib and feel safer about it. It also, if you have a pacifier user, is it’s fantastic for keeping the pacifier from falling on the floor so moms really like it. It’s also a very convenient product to use. Unlike traditional bumpers that might have as many as 12, 16, 18 ties around the crib, we have only 6 ties yet Cozy Wedge manages to stay perfectly secure in the crib because it rests on the mattress because of the unique shape. So you have three ties on each side. In order to change the crib sheet, which is a hassle in motherhood for absolutely everybody, all you have to do is untie one side of the crib and then you can lift it up over this side. The whole thing just lifts up like this and you drape it over the back side of the crib. That allows you to have full access to the sheet so you can change your sheets. Moms love it.
