Icelantic The Da'Nollie
Icelantic The Da'Nollie: Icelantic The Da'Nollie: A distinct and powerful semi-nomadic culture, the Masai call the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro home. Extraordinary athletes and fearless warriors, the Masai adhere to the beliefs that have sustained their culture for centuries. The social structure of the tribe is based on a ritual rite of passage, where the initiate has to endure great physical and emotional pain in order to be accepted as a tribal warrior. We honor their strength and spirit in our own quest to reach new heights. For the 08-09 season, we’re offering longer lengths on all of our models and are introducing a new ski called Da'Nollie. The Da'Nollie is designed as a park-specific ski. It’s totally symmetrical, and we’ve created hinge points in the core by creating a solid deck underfoot, and then all the taper happens in three inches of the ski. So, it creates a hinge point at the toe and the heel of the boot, where, if someone’s going out of the park, they’re going to hit it switch, or hit it poor, they know exactly where this ski is going to flex, and it’s really going to create a pop, allowing them to ollie and nollie on snow. The dimensions of this ski are 118 at the tip, 88 underfoot, and 118 at the tail. It comes in a 160, 170, and 180 cm lengths.
About Icelantic Ski Construction
About Icelantic Ski Construction: All of our skis are handcrafted right here in Denver, Colorado at the Never Summer Factory. Being just 10 minutes away, we get to take a real hands-on approach, and go over there whenever we want to check out production, make changes, and make sure that we're offering the highest quality product. We use top-of-the-line materials in all of our skis. It starts with just a basic sandwich construction, and for the sidewall we use a Durasurf 2001 P-Tex, which is the strongest, best sidewall material you can use. It's really strong, can hold an edge extremely well, and we've never seen a blown edge. The core, we use a poplar wood core. And we've chose polar because it has great qualities. It's extremely snappy, lightweight, it holds its shape extremely well. We then cap the core in a triaxle weave fiberglass. It's 22 ounce glass, and that third stringer really helps with the torsional rigidity and over all strength of the ski. Above that we put a sheet of unilateral glass in that balances the flex from tip to tail. For mounting, we use two levels of tiered matte glass. Then this does not create a weak point in the ski. It allows the ski to flex naturally. For a tough bonding, and with damping, we put three layers of rubber foil in the ski. One along the edge. We cap the sidewall above and below, and then are running a vertical strip in between the sidewall and the core. The base of the ski we use a real strong P-Tex. It's a Durasurf 4001. It's really the strongest P-Tex on the market. And for our edges we use a 2.2 millimeter steel edge, that are all cold bent. So not nearly as brittle as most that are heated up when they're bent to shape. And to top it all off, we use a sub-laminated nylon topsheet, with a graphic from artist Travis Parr. that really prevents chipping, especially on a sidewall construction. And over all we feel so confident in our construction, we offer a two year no questions asked warranty. So let's head on over to the factory, and see how our skis are made.
Icelantic - One Degree Celsius
Icelantic - One Degree Celsius: One degree Celsius is the temperature at which water molecules begin to transform into a solid state, ultimately creating our favorite medium, snow. We've chosen the one degree as our logo because it's the symbol that we'd like to be recognized for our industry. From the edge of innovation, we're a gateway to magic, and a platform for an abundance of face shots, adrenaline rushes, and a damned good times.

Icelantic Annual Theme
Icelantic Annual Theme: Every year, Icelantic comes up with a theme that encompasses our ideals and philosophies. Then, artist Travis Park takes these ideas and interprets them visually with original acrylic paintings which are photographed, drum scanned, and laminated into the top sheets of our skis. Overall, we like to tell a story that inspires the consumer to look at ski graphics differently. For the 08-09 season, we have chosen a warrior energy that highlights five cultural icons from across the continents. These warriors were chosen because they possess the great characteristics of true leaders. Now, let’s take a closer look at the skis themselves.
Icelantic The Nomad
Icelantic The Nomad: Beginning in the early 16th century, the Mughal Empire dominated the Indian Subcontinent for almost three centuries. Descendants from Genghis Kahn’s warrior class, the Mughals possessed highly sophisticated weaponry and battle tactics. They were the quintessential nomads, preferring their mobile lifestyle to the static realms that they conquered. Horsemen by nature, the Mughals perfected a technology of movement, allowing them to overcome any obstacle in their path, favoring the excitement of the unknown. The Nomad is a on-ski quiver. It's our best-selling and most versatile ski in the line. Really an all-mountain tool that excels in any and every condition. It'll blast through crust, as well as rivers, rips piles, and is awesome in the big mountains. The dimensions of this ski are 140 in the tip, 105 underfoot, and 130 at the tail. And it comes in three sizes, a 156, a 168, and a 181 length.
Icelantic The Pilgrim
Icelantic The Pilgrim: The early 1400s found France embattled, demoralized, and near defeat by the British. The French army had suffered critical losses and was in dire need of a miracle. Joan of Arc answered that call to action. At just 17, the unlikely hero led the army to a series of victories that restored confidence to the French army. Joan’s sharp wit and fearless nature matched her broad sword and skill in battle. Even today, she remains one of the most potent symbols of self confidence and heroism. The Pilgrim is a twin tipped, highly stable ski designed for hard paths as well as varied slopes. It is definitely the most traditionally shaped ski out of the line, and is our top selling teleski. A soft tail and substantial side cut allows the skier to get in and out of turns extremely easily, and overall, it’s designed for someone who loves to carve but is still all about performance and is still a little skeptical of a fatter ski. The Pilgrim comes in three sizes. It comes in a 151, a 169, and a 179 length. The dimensions are 127 at the tip, 90 underfoot, and 115 at the tail. Notes: The second clip had no actual speaking – there was just a song playing throughout the entire video.
Icelantic The Scout
Icelantic The Scout: Beginning in the late 16th century, the Mongol empire dominated the Indian subcontinent for almost three centuries. Descendants from Ghengis Khan’s warrior path, the Mongols present highly sophisticated weaponry and battle tactics. They were the quintessential nomads, preferring their mobile lifestyle to the static grounds that they conquered. Horsemen by nature, the Mongols perfected a technology of minutemen, allowing them to overcome any obstacle in their path, favoring the excitement of the unknown. The Nomad is a one ski quiver. It’s our best selling and most versatile ski out of the line. It’s really an all mountain tool that excels in any and every condition. It’ll blast through crud, does well on grubers, rips powder, and is awesome in the big mountains. The dimensions of this ski are 140 at the tip, 105 underfoot, and 130 at the tail, and it comes in three sizes, a 156, a 168, and a 181 length.
Icelantic The Shaman
Icelantic The Shaman: Shamans of the Peruvian Andes embody the spiritual essence of their tribe. Departing from the safety of the earthly spectrum, the shaman risks everything in a dangerous confrontation with the spiritual realm in order to restore harmony to the tribe. The shaman’s journey transcends the mind and soul, spanning the deepest voids and highest peaks in order to gather strength for the next ascension into the spiritual plane. The Shaman was initially designed as a powder specific ski. The whole concept was to make a very tapered design with a mounting point that is further back to allow the skier to stay in a forward aggressive stance without ever having the tip dive in deepest snow. Through testing we’ve gotten it torsionally rigid enough and it has the most side cut out of all of the models. This thing rails on grubers. It is by far my favorite ski out of the line. I ski it every day, and it never ceases to amaze me. I can guarantee this is the best carbon powder ski on the market. The dimensions of this ski are 160 at the tip, 110 underfoot, and 130 at the tail. It comes in three sizes: a 161, a 173, and a 184.
Icelantic's History
Icelantic's History: Hello, everyone, and welcome to Icelantic’s headquarters here in Denver, Colorado. I’m Ben Anderson, and I’m excited to give you an insider’s look at our company and product. Starting a ski company has been a dream of mine ever since I was 14. Through different internships, building skis in my garage, and a lot of commitment, I truly learned the art of ski making. After about three years of testing different shapes, sizes, and materials, I came up with a product that was indeed whammy and was ripping on the mountain, so I called up some of my best friends to see if they wanted to help launch the product and create a company that is truly unique to our industry.
