About Hape Double Rainbow Stacker: My name is Robin Leonard and I’m with Hape International. I’d like to show you the Double Rainbow Stacker which is part of the Educo Infant and Toddler Range. This range is new in Educo. Some of the standard features on the packaging include, of course, the age appropriateness of the particular toy, the amount of pieces that are in the toy, as well as developmental benefits that are possible as a result of playing with the toy, and some play tips. All of our packaging also includes information about what exactly is used in the development of the product—so the product materials. And in this case, this is made out of plywood and maple. The packaging is also made with recycled paper and printed with soy ink. In the case of the Double Rainbow Stacker, this is for children ages 12 months and up. It is a double stacking post so it’s a stacking activity which is very important for a child to learn and understand. The entire idea behind the Infant and Toddler Range is to look at fundamental activities that children play during the period of birth to two years of age. What we’ve done with this line is increase the amount of colors that children are typically provided with as they play--so beyond primary colors. This range includes, as you can see, a rainbow of colors and they’re not just pastels. They’re just brighter intensities than are normally provided. In the Double Rainbow Stacker you’ve got two shapes, a star shape and then you also have a blossom shape. Each one of these particular pieces are routed through in a different way so when they are stacked, they create a rainbow type of an effect. Another thing that is of interest from a safety point is that on the stacker because children often are tumbling around or are not always focused on what they’re doing, both of the posts have safety elastic in them in case the child should ever fall on them. Hape Company Overview: I’m Peter Heinstein. I’m born and raised in Germany. I’m founder of the company Hape who was built up in 1983 so now we have 26 years where we build this company. In the year 2008, we are happy to announce a new line. It’s an E-racer. This new line is based on bamboo. Bamboo is a very eco-friendly material. It is surfaced by water paint and water stain.
