About Garmont Prophet Boot: My name is Paul Parker. I’m with Garmont Italy. I’m excited to present our new Prophet NTN boot. NTN stands for “New Telemark Norm.” This is the future in telemark skiing. It’s a revolutionary change in an integrated boot binding system. It’s as big a change as the suspension on your mountain bike or the first telemak boots we skied on. The boot binding compatibility is fundamental to the system. So the function of the binding is just as important as our boot design. Our new boot is called the Prophet. It uses our anatomical last. Our anatomical, our anatomical formula which I discussed in earlier videos. It has four injections in the lower shell. We have a new bellows that’s deeper and it’s asymmetric. We moved it further back so it keeps more of your foot on the ski. We have a separate injection over the crest of the asymmetric bellows. We call this the ergo bellows. We call this injection the power rib that protects the bellows from abrasion. It also helps it flex asymmetrically. We have stiffer bumpers on either side of the bellows that hold it up so there is no toe pinch so it flexes easily. The sole is bi-injected. The NTN second heel is replaceable. Replaceable internal bellows protection. You can see here the anatomy of the last. This is the punch that we’ve added to the shape for the appendicular bone. All of these features tie-in to the best NTN book on the market. What’s key to NTN is the binding certainly. It’s step-in. It has a release. It has a walk mode that makes it free hinging like an Alpine Touring system and it has brakes. You’ll see on this binding it has brakes. It has all the features that Alpine skiers enjoy in a telemark system.

Garmont Internal Technology: Hi my name is Paul Parker, I'm with Garmont, Italy. I'd like to show you the technology that we've used to develop our line of Alpine, Ski Mountaineering and our new NTN Profit Telemark Boot. We started several years ago with what we call the last and we pre-punched the inside of the shell to accommodate skiers feet with more room for what we call the six-toe, the nevicular bone, first metatarsal, malayolie, so that we end up with a very – you can see these bumps in the shell – we end up with a very anatomical shell. This is the foundation of any boot. The following season we developed the Radium. This was launched last season to be delivered this last fall of 2008. Subsequently for next year, for 2009, we have the Profit NTN Boot, using the same internal technology with our anatomical last.
