Sidi Ergo 2 Carbon

Sidi Ergo 2 Carbon: Hi, I'm Sarah from Sidi Cycling Shoes and today we're taking a look at the 2009 Sidi road collection. So the flagship shoe in the Sidi collection is the Sidi Ergo 2. This shoe you might recognize. Fabian Consolara wore it this year when he won Olympic gold medal in the time trial, but the Ergo 2 is not just worn by Fabian. It was also worn too by the winner of the Tour De France this year as well when he won the world championships the last two years in a row. So you might ask yourself, Why do the top cyclists in the world, winning everything, all ride on the Sidi Ergo 2? Well there are a couple of reasons. This is a beautiful shoe and an extremely comfortable shoe and it's packed with technology. Starting with the full carbon sole, this sole is designed for the high performance high mileage cyclist. It's very stiff, but it has a small amount of flex in the toe to protect the health of the planar tendon and overall foot health. It has this adjustable heel retention device that just shuts the door at the top of the heel so that there's no heel slip. The heel retention device allows you to loosen the front of the shoe and it keeps your feet from going asleep even when you're going up a steep climb, riding all day. It really really helps increase the comfort of the shoe. In the front we've got three different types of closure systems: high security velcro with little red teeth that interlock, the Techno 2 Buckle. Sidi pioneered this. It's the first monofilament line buckle. We have the Sidi caliper buckle, a micrometric adjustment buckle that allows you to close the shoe or open it one tooth at a time to adjust the fit of the shoe while you're riding. Sidi Ergo 2: a great shoe for the high performance, high mileage cyclist; all day comfort and years of extremely stylish Italian.
