Epiphone Emperor Regent

Epiphone Emperor Regent: Hi folks, Dr. Will Jones, Professor of Epiphone with the King of our Jazz boxes back in the day. It's the Emperor Regent. You know there was that big rivalry to see who could make the biggest Jazz box back in those days between Epiphone and Gibson before we all linked up. This was the winner of the contest, slightly larger than Gibson's model. These big Jazz boxes had to be big to be heard over the horn section and this guy of course had the additional pickup added. This is what's called a floating mini humbucker; it's sort of attached to the end of the neck and doesn't actually touch the body of the guitar. It's got the floating bridge, the frequensator tail piece which brightens the high strings and boosts the lows and of course the controls right there on the pick guard. Very elegant, big old, big sounding awesome jazz box, the Emperor Regent, you'll love this thing, and it's awesome.
