Electro-Voice PL Series Mics: Hi, Mike Tousseau here from Electro-Voice, live sound specialist, and we’d like to show you some of our new PL microphones here. We’ve got a wide variety of microphones, starting off with several different handheld vocal super cartioid dynamic microphones. The entry level to this line is the PL24, which is also available with a switch. Moving up from there, you’ve got the PL44, and then the flagship of the line, which is the PL80. The PL series, you may remember from way back in the day, maybe 20, 30 years ago, a very popular microphone, and we’ve actually rebranded it, reworked it, and brought it to today’s standards, and introducing it to the market again. The PL80 is everything that the PL line represents: extremely flat response, super cartioid dynamic microphone, great mike available in the classic finish as well that you may remember from a long time ago. There is a condenser vocal microphone in the line, the PL84. A unique thing is that you can also get that same microphone with a switch, very unique, hard to find the condenser with a switch. In the PL line, there are also several different drum instrument microphone, the PL33 kick drum microphone, the PL35, perfect for snare and tom applications, and the PL37 for overheads and high hat. Overall, the mike is very budget friendly, so something for you to check out at a retailer near you.
