Eider Karma Pant
Eider Karma Pant: Hello! My name is Gene Frederick. I’m the sales manager for Eider U. S. A., and I’m here to show you the Karma Pant, which is a complementary pant to the Gasher Brun Jacket. This is in the high-end mountaineering category, but we do sell a lot of these pieces to snow sports as well. They especially appreciate the full side zip opening. In this case, it’s a waterproof zipper, so there’s no placket to add to the weight. Some of the nice features about this piece is that it’s a GORE® Pro Shell, which is the highest quality GORE material that’s out there. We have a stretch panel across the seat area and a stretch panel across the knees, so it has a lot of give in terms of a climber and climber’s needs. It’s fitting close to the body, and it has a shin pocket here. It has fixed suspenders. We do a hide back to give you more protection in the back, and a nice elasticated side opening. When you open the side, the suspender is attached to the placket so that you don’t have to remove your suspenders if you need to go to the bathroom. It does have the full sides that open I mentioned already. Also, a trademark of Eider is the large Kevlar protection in the leg. This comes almost up completely to the knee. It’s a very expensive process, but it’s really well appreciated by the climbers. Like I said, as it’s a crossover piece, too, the snow sports people appreciate it, especially for off-pieced skiing and the mountaineering people. Thank you very much.
