Eider Kamet Soft Shell Jacket: Hi my name is Gene Fredrick and I am the sales manager for Eider in the USA and I am here to show you the Kamet Soft Shell jacket and this is one of the most important soft shells that we feel is available in the industry, it’s one of the highest qualities, it’s defender power stretch material so you have a nylon exterior with the brushed velour interior. And by nature of its design it’s a laminate so we have two different materials glued together and the glue access a water repellent material as well so you get great water repellency, great wind repellency in a soft shell, probably one of the best that you have seen in the industry. This piece is coming from mountaineering but it is appreciated very much by the snow sports groups as well. As a mountaineering piece we have a little higher collar and a chord adjustment in the back and then we have chord adjustment down at the bottom on both sides as well. We don’t have any hand warmer pockets in here because as a mountaineering piece we just have the storm pockets, so the way this works is if you get into that weather you go like this to stay warm. We also have ventilation under the arm and it’s off centre a little bit so as not to interfere with a harness. Another nice feature that the piece has to offer in the cuff system is an elasticated Velcro closure, so all in all this piece is been appreciated by snow sports, free ride, skiers and especially mountaineering folks.
