Eider Derringer Jacket: Hi my name is Gene Fredrick and I am the sales manager for Eider in the USA and I am here to show you the Derringer jacket and this is a show case piece that we have in the range for the ’09 season and what makes it so beautiful is you have a wool type texture on the outside, almost a silky texture but it is actually synthetic fiber. It’s a 20,000 water column an it’s a beautiful color way. This piece is designed with the thought of the Navy seal in mind so it has a simplistic styling and look but there is a lot going on. First of all it is a defender membrane, our propriety membrane and it has got a 20,000 water column and 20,000 breathability feature. You have the beautiful pocket details with waterproof zippers, two chest pockets, a pocket on the sleeve, as well as pocket here and then this has an interesting Velcro opening on the side with a zip pocket in the cuff as well so you put your keys or other paraphenial there. All of the Eider pieces have a double cuff system and with a thumb hole capability, this offers you both warmth and comfort. I would like to show you using another piece the inside of the jacket and the beauty of the jacket itself is exemplified by its inside. We have the nice look textured collar which is synthetic and as well we have an IPod holder here and you can shoot your IPod holder up through the side.

Eider Derringer Jacket Additional Features: The piece comes with a removable hood and a crystal eye vision system. The hood has what is called the plug in system so when you take the hood off the snaps are not exposed and that is right through out the back. We have a three point adjustment system on the hood, single hand adjustment so this is a feature that is coming from the mountaineering category and we have the crystal eye vision system, this is the pattern dividers and what makes it so good is that we have the chord adjustment on the inside, not on the outside of the system so when you pull the chord you are not going to crimp up the window. And the other feature that we have in this piece is, well the hood is removable we have a pouch on the inside to hold it so you don’t have any chance of loosing it if you decide to take it off while you are on the slopes and big pocket details as well as a snow skirt, that is removable as well and a snap adjustment on the snow skirt which is a feature where you can snap around the pant so that the jacket does not ride up when you are off peaks. The feature I appreciate most about this jacket is it is a jacket that can be used by the older generation as well as is much appreciated by the younger generation and it is in the Indie ride grouping and that’s named after the sense of Independence in free ride.
