Ecco Golf Shoes World Class

Ecco Golf Shoes World Class: What I wanna show you here is our World Class. This is our pinnacle product, uses our fine Manhattan leathers and like all Ecco golf shoes we actually utilize direct injection technology. So even though it might look like a leather welted shoe, there's no actual stitching here, this is all just for cosmetics. This again, shows our attention to detail. So what you have is, a leather out sole. And a leather out sole to most golfers is very important because one, with a leather out sole you actually reduce friction, it keeps the foot cooler while you're playing. But it also provides a very stable platform to play golf from. But all of our golf shoes we've made using direct injection so it's all fused together using polyurethane. So with each hill strike, it's very comfortable, shock absorbing. But while you're out there playing on the golf course it's going to give you a very stable platform to play golf with. So again, very elegant finish, elegant leather types, our World Class is absolutely a premium product.

Ecco Golf Shoes Direct Injection Technology

Ecco Golf Shoes Direct Injection Technology: I want to spend a little bit of time talking about direct injection technology. This is something very unique to Ecco. We’re the only golf shoe company in the world that uses direct injection technology. Why is direct injection technology better? It’s a unique process that actually fuses the shoe together so you have one-piece construction, and why that’s important is your foot controls the shoe. There’s no break-in required, it’s out-of-the-box comfort. And what we do is, as opposed to a cement-constructed shoe or a shoe that’s stitched together where you have an upper and an outsole that are glued together, what we do is we’ll do is build an upper, it goes into a mold, and we’ll direct-inject liquid polyurethane into the mold which fuses the shoe together all as one piece. And as you’ll see here, there’s no break-in. The shoe flexes with your foot so you don’t have to worry about blisters, you don’t have to worry about break-in. One of the nice features to polyurethane is that it has a tremendous amount of memory. It really creates a trampoline effect, so it’s shock-absorbing, it reduces shock on your ankles, your knees, your hip, your joints. So you have tremendous walking comfort. It reduces foot fatigue. And what we’ve actually done in this shoe here is, you’ll notice a black material coming up into the upper. We utilize our direct-injection technology to actually add additional support. Not only does it create a trampoline effect so that each heel strike to mid-stance to push-off it’s dispersing the weight evenly, but now utilizing the direct injection technology to encapsulate the foot to lock the foot into place to provide added stability and added support. So when it comes to golf shoes, you want comfort. You don’t want to worry about your feet when you’re walking 18 holes or walking 5 miles. After that, it’s all about stability and support, and there’s other features throughout the shoes that provide that. But it’s direct injection that’s unique to Ecco. Again, it’s the only golf shoe company in the world that uses direct injection. C.B. Tuite, General Manager, Golf Division of Ecco.

Ecco Golf Shoes - Meet CB

Ecco Golf Shoes - Meet CB: My name is C.B. Tuite, I'm the general manager of the golf division at Ecco. I just want to take a little bit of time to tell you about Ecco golf shoes. The Ecco company is founded over 40 years ago, by a gentlemen by the name of Karl Toosbuy. It's a very unique story, it's a family owned business, we've been in business over 40 years. But he actually sold all his life possessions to start the company. And we have a philosophy that we refer to as: "From cow to shoe." Where Ecco actually owns the entire value chain. We own our own tanneries, we own our own factories and we actually own our own retail stores. So what makes us very unique, is again that we own each of the steps so we can ensure the finest quality of our product. The golf division was actually founded fairly recently in 2002. So even though we've been in business over 40 years, the golf division was launched in 2002. Our owner had a passion for footwear, and to really design a shoe where the foot controlled the shoe. And how that's done is through our unique technology which is referred to as "direct injection technology". And what that is, is our product is actually fused together using polyurethane. Other companies typically use cement construction where the shoe is glued together. With direct injection, we'll build an upper, using only the finest leathers produced in our factories where the upper is put into a mold and we direct inject polyurethane into the mold which fuses the shoe all together into a one-piece construction. And why that's better is actually the shoe will be controlled by the foot and not the other way around. There is no break-in, we refer to it as "out-of-the-box-comfort". By using polyurethane the shoe is more flexible, it is more durable, it has memory, and what's important when you're playing golf is that you don't want any water and chemicals between the upper and the mid sole. So when the shoe is fused together you have this watertight seal. And with polyurethane, it's the same material that superballs are made out of. So you have memory for the life of the shoe. So it flexes with the foot. Again, no break-in, out-of-the-box comfort. But we also have other designs through our golf life where it really gives you additional stability and support. Ecco is recognized as a comfort shoe leader and our golf division is not only recognized for comfort but we really are the luxury brand leader, putting out only the finest products in the pinnacle and premium price points. A number of discerning golfers throughout the country are very familiar with our Ecco comfort technology, but we also have tour players on staff. Players like Freddie Couples, Aaron Baddeley, Stuart Appleby, Thomas Bjorn, Colin Montgomerie. And other countless professionals on the PGA Tour, the LPGA Tour, the Champions Tour and again, discerning golfers throughout the country and throughout the world. We're headquartered in Denmark and our US headquarters is in New Hampshire. Again, this is C.B. Tuite, general manager of the golf division.
