Ecco Golf Shoes Flexor Series: This is C.B. Tuite, General Manager of Ecco, and what I wanted to introduce you to is our Flexor Series. What’s unique about the Flexor is our asymmetric fit, so you see how it has this contour in this direction. With our Flexor Series, we can accommodate a lot of foot types. We have a very unique fit with all of our Ecco shoes, which is referred to as the Freedom Fit. We fit you secure in the heel and secure in the instep, and it’s very generous through the toe box area allowing your toes to move freely. So it’s an extremely comfortable shoe. Our Flexor series has a very robust, rugged, beefed-up look where we use leather types and then other materials here, just again to give it just a unique look. The outsole uses TPU, thermoplastic urethane, and the TPU gives you a tremendous amount of flexibility. It’s very durable. You’ll notice you have flex grooves, molded traction bars so it’s all about stability and support in an outsole. Also, it’s important always to change out your cleats to give you that additional stability and traction. Our midsole is made from polyurethane, so again, you have a chemical reaction that takes place during the direct injection process which fuses the TPU and the polyurethane into the upper all as one piece, so it’s really a one-piece construction. What this does is provide an immense amount of comfort, but also helps keep water and chemicals from getting between the upper and the outsole. So it provides flexibility, waterproof protection. We also have various leather types and waterproof protection which really provides you with a cool and comfortable and dry foot during the golf game. We also have an Achilles notch here, a nice firm heel counter here, so it’s all about stability and support during all phases of the golf swing, and then you want to have that walking comfort when you’re walking 18 holes.
