EEZ Read Original EEZ Reader: Hi! I’m Robin Austin with the EEZ Read Golf Company. I want to show you the first product that we introduced. It’s called The EEZ Read, and it’s a little bubble level that is mounted on a watchmaker stainless steel base. It’s a certified level. It’s guaranteed for life. Now how you use this is it’s best on putts under 20 feet, and you take two readings. You take one midway between your ball and the pin, and you take a second reading about six inches from the pin to see that the break carries all the way there. If you look at the little level here, if the bubble is at 12 o’clock, it means it’s an uphill putt. If it’s at 6 o’clock, it means it’s a downhill putt. If it’s at 3 o’clock, it means it’s breaking from right to left, and 9 o’clock would mean it’s breaking from left to right. So for example, at 2 o’clock it means that it’s an uphill putt breaking right to left. Or for example, 7 o’clock would mean it’s a downhill putt breaking from left to right. You’ll get used to this very, very quickly. It is a practice aid, but it builds your confidence. Once you’re sinking 6, 8, 10-foot putts, your confidence goes sky high. Then when you’re playing a match with other members, you’ll be sinking those putts.
About EEZ Read
About EEZ Read: Hi! I’m Robin Austin, and I’m with the EEZ Read Golf Company. I started this company based on watching the professional tour players on their practice rounds at the PGA Tour event at Bolter Shroll [sp?] a couple of years ago. What struck me was that all the caddies went and plotted the greens and measured all aspects of the greens prior to the actual play rounds. It made me think that the average amateur golfer never gets that chance to play and practice the greens the way the pros do. So I decided that I would invent a line of products to help the amateur golfer do exactly that. As you know, most practice happens outside on the putting green outside of the clubhouse as opposed to on the actual course itself.
