Drum Workshop Classic Shells Kit: Hi, I'm John Good with DW. What we have in this drum set - we have a myriad of many different types of drum shells - this one happens to be the classic shells. This is made from mahogany, poplar, mahogany, with deep maple reinforcing hoops. This gives that sound of the reminiscent old big band era and it has a very nice warm, dark tone. A lot of guys use this for jazz, big band, all types of drumming really. One thing to notice on this kit is our new yellow twisted finish fly.
