Evans Onyx Drumhead: Hi, I'm Josh from D'Addario, and I'm the Product Specialist for Evans Drumheads. I want to talk to you about a very exciting head that we're thrilled about this year. We've introduced the Onyx. The Onyx is a variation on our original hydraulic head that came out in the late seventies and early eighties. The original hydraulic was oil-filled between two pieces of plastic. What we've done for the new Onyx is we've updated it. We've taken the oil out, and we've coated the top with a proprietary coating as well. Gives a nice warm, dry sound that's very, very controlled, whereas the hydraulic had a wet, controlled sound. It's a very dry, controlled sound. It's going to be great for studio, great for Gospel, and great for heavier players. And that's the Onyx head from Evans.
