HQ EcoPad Practice Drum Pad

HQ Eco Pad Practice Drum Pad: Hey! This is Mike Robinson, Senior Product Manager for Evans and HQ Percussion here to introduce the Eco Pad. The concept behind the product is that it’s an environmentally friendly practice pad. We use rubber from recycled tires, and we use a residual wood waste base. Sawdust from the milling operation is collected, gathered, and used to produce a composite, which we make the base out of, throughout the base. We have three models in the series. We have a 6-inch single sided with an 8-millimeter threaded insert for mounting onto a standard cymbal stand or our real feel practice pad stand. We also have a 12-inch double-sided model, which features a harder surface on the backside for a little bit of a better workout and a different type of sound. We also feature this 9-inch model, which on the backside features both an 8 millimeter threaded insert for mounting on a stand and also an adjustable snare mechanism so that you can play the pad as a standard pad without any noise. Or you can open this up and instantly turn it into a simulated snare sound. It’s adjustable. You can back off or increase the amount of snare response you get, but we’re really happy. We’ve won NAMM’s Best in Show with this particular product. Again, this is Mike Robinson, Senior Product Manager for Evans and HQ here with the Eco Pad.
