Capita Charlie Slasher Pow FK Snowboard

Capita Charlie Slasher Pow FK Snowboard: How you doing, Yohanne from Capita here to talk to you about the Charlie Slasher. This is Capita’s first effort into a power specific board and we had some design criteria when we built the board is that these days people releasing powder boards want you to be on a shorter board or size down and stand on the tail and wiggle like you are skiing or doing pottery so you might loose weight as well. Back in the day you used to ride a power board you size up, you go on a man’s we call it on a man’s stick you go on a bigger stick so in building this board we took that philosophy in mind, riding a bigger board on a prouder day you are not out there to wiggle down a hill, you are out there to kick ass, take names, destroy the mountain. You want to go down and slash everything so in building that ultimate prouder stick we started off by doing a reverse cambering in the front top so from the insert pack up we kicked it out 6mms, from inside pack all the way to the tail we have zero camber, reason we don’t rocker that back tail is that you don’t want to be rolling out because on a powder board falling out making big waves, YMA waves dropping bombs, dropping cliffs so you need a tail to stomp on. Also added a 20 mm taper in the tail so you got that flaking in the front that keeps that nose float and you get that 20 mm taper that sinks that tail. Also on it if you look at how I am standing looks like I am on a regular snow board doesn’t look like I am on a little wiggle stick here that is because you have got an inch and a half longer nose and instep back of the tail so you are only two and a half inches back on a power board kind of like cad of the cad lack track slay off the power field and kill it. The biggest thing about this board is the accessibility or the affordability of it, these are the quicker boards this is not your very day stick so our last piece of the puzzle was to build something that was affordable for everyone to have and make it a quicker killer.
