Callaway FT3 Drivers - Rich Beem

Callaway FT3 Drivers - Rich Beem: Right now, I’m using an old FT3 driver. It’s neutral, and I’ve got a 44-1/4 inch shaft in there, which is actually a lot shorter than a lot of guys use. 45 is actually normal now. 9-1/2 degrees loft, and I’ve been using that club for about 10 months now. I put it into the Player’s Championship, and I just started hitting it fantastically. I enjoy it. I’ve tried out some other products, but the one that I’m actually looking forward to the most is the new FTi. The funny thing is is that I think it looks good. I think a lot of people out there look at it the first time and go, “Ooh, man, that’s weird. That’s just a box down there.” I like it. I think it looks great. When I set it down on the ground, I feel like I can hit it straight every single time or with a slight little cut, which I love to it. But even Rocker was telling me that he loves it because he can hit a high draw with it. Fine. I don’t really have that shot, but I can hit my natural ball flight with it without any problems. But I look down on it and I feel like since it’s so square back here, I feel like I can hit it straight every single time. So right now, we’re still working, trying to get the right match, the right combination for me, and once we do, I can’t wait to throw it in the bag. Looking down at it, it looks amazing. And how it comes through the hitting zone, I just think that it makes you square up the club face through the hitting zone. So to me, for the weekend golfer, guys that don’t play every single day or get a chance to hit golf balls, I can’t think of anything better. I don’t know why you wouldn’t want to use something that’s going to help you hit it straighter. Everybody talks about hitting it longer and longer and longer, but you can hit it as far as you want in the woods, but that’s not going to help your score. Why not hit it just a little bit shorter, which I don’t think you’re going to have anyways, but definitely hit a lot straighter, I think. Like I said, I can’t wait to get one.
